Buckwheat Adventures

I have been so fascinated and so intrigued with this trendy noodle made out of buckwheat and wheat flour, called “soba”. This Japanese type of noodle has been mainstreaming so much on Pinterest and Instagram. Thus, I followed a few recipes and YouTubes to kickstart these Noshful, low-carb-luscious adventures. Enjoy below!

Attempt 1: 1” Wide Thin Noodles

Ingredients: Buckwheat flour

Attempt 2: 1/4” Wide Thick Noodles

Ingredients: Buckwheat flour, all purpose flour, corn starch, water

Recipe: Buckwheat

Attempt 3: 1/4” Wide Thick Noodles

Ingredients: same as previous

Attempt 4: 1/4” Wide Thin Noodles

Ingredients: Buckwheat flour, corn starch, water

Recipe: Buckwheat

Final Attempt: Pasta Maker assisted kneading and mixing.

Ingredients: buckwheat flour, whole wheat flour, and water.
