L’Shanah tova! Happy New Year! Apples and honey are symbolic of the Jewish new year beginning on the eve of Friday, September 18th at sundown, aligning with Shabbat. While it is a very unconventional time to observe and social distance without the traditional family/friend gathering, yet it still is a time to relax, set back and enjoy apples and the sweetness of honey.
As we roll into the fall and start putting our summer things back in our closets… it’s time to look forward to new beginnings and see what’s in store for the new days ahead of us!
I made these delicious mini apple honey sweet pies on lollipop sticks because I had plans to meet my friends for casual “Rosh” picnics.
Recipe is as follows …. enjoy!
